Many of Jacqueline’s earlier paintings were inspired by the Pre-Raphaelite era, in particulary her favourtie artist, John W. Waterhouse (1849-1917). This painting especially was inspired by Waterhouse’s “....Opening The Golden Box, 1903” with Jacqueline modelling for this painting, as pictured herewith.

This painting resembles how we can brush away our past - and hope women will be encouraged they don’t have to fear and dread anything that has happened to them in the past, because they can hand it over...

This is something most of us feel we wish we could do with our past, that is to try and forget about all the hurts, the shame, the disappointments, the mistakes, the heartaches, the pain, the grief, and the things we just can’t change.

But we can get rid of the dreaded past if we hand it over to the Lord and don’t look back. We can brush the past off our feet and move forward into a bright and hopeful future.

Our past has been destroyed, forgiven and forgotten and removed from as far east is as the west. It doesn’t matter how many times we fall down, we just need to wipe away the tears, get back up, stand tall, dust ourselves off, hold our head high and keep walking.

You are a Princess and the Lord will never leave you nor forsake you.
He can take our past and make our future so incredibly beautiful...
